DENNIS MOZAK

Founder & CEO

As a leader in the community, Dennis Mozak has been involved in the construction industry for more than 40 years. Dennis started Synergy Projects Ltd. in 1996 with the main objective of building a flexible, forward-thinking, client-focused company. His ability to think outside the box, couple with his desire to provide complete building solutions, ultimately led to the founding of the Synergy Group of Companies.

As our Founder and CEO, Dennis is responsible for the overall vision of the Synergy Group. He actively provides mentorship and guidance to our executive team and ensures that the Synergy Group’s culture remains true to its roots. In everything he does, he continues to be driven by a deep passion for bringing construction into the future.

TIM VARUGHESE

President

Tim joined the Synergy Projects team eight years ago because he believed in Dennis’ vision, that Synergy would be something unique to the industries it serves. Since joining, Tim has developed a passion to grow an interdependent, diversified and construction focused organization that will help bring construction into the future.

As President, Tim is responsible for all aspects of the Synergy Group’s operations, corporate management and investments. He leads the organization's strategic planning and has been integral in Synergy’s growth and diversification over the past several years. Tim also leads the Synergy Group’s Executive Team – working to implement the Group’s vision across all of its businesses.

barry robertson

Senior Vice President

With more 40 years of experience in construction management, design build and more traditional construction services, Barry Robertson leverages his experience to ensure the Synergy Group of Companies can execute on its strategic expansion, growth, and other key project initiatives. Barry is also the the Synergy Group’s resident expert on constructability and assists our project teams to ensure that each of our projects is being delivered on time and on budget. 

Barry has been with Synergy for more than 20 years, taking on progressively more responsibility during that time. Most recently, he was the Chief Operating Officer with Synergy Projects Ltd. – the flagship construction arm in SGC’s Commercial Buildings division.

kimberly elliott

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Kimberly manages all financial operations within the Synergy Group of Companies, including acquisitions, taxation, treasury, and planning.

With more than15 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant, and with experience in public and private practice, Kim has provided key leadership for our acquisition and planning initiatives. She is also responsible for leading and supporting our corporate infrastructure and services across the group. She continues to be a key asset for SGC's growth.

Tim Taitinger

President, Innerspaces

Tim Taitinger has been with Synergy for more than 20 years, having held various integral roles in the company. Prior to becoming President of Innerspaces, Tim spent time as a Sr. Project Manager, Director of Synergy Special Projects, and Vice President of Operations. 

Over his career, Tim has completed more than 1.5 million square feet of space for clients across Canada. Tim is very passionate about finding sustainable and innovative solutions for his clients, and is responsible for the overall execution of our Innerspaces division.

Rob mcgrath

President, Commercial Buildings

Rob brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and passion to our Synergy team. As President, Commercial Buildings, Rob is responsible for the overall operations of our flagship commercial construction business, leading the estimating, project development, and operations teams. 

Rob is a professional engineer, graduating from the University of Ottawa. He spent the first 16 years of his career in various project roles including field engineering, estimating, and project management roles on commercial projects throughout the country.
